Interactive Discovering Cognitive Diversity Workshop
Minds in Depth is dedicated to helping businesses fully tap into the cognitive diversity of their workforce. It is generally believed that cognitive diversity is good for the workplace, but it tends to create communication difficultes. These communication issues can easily be solved once managers and colleagues understand cognitive diversity.
This workshop is an interactive experience for a team of up to 12 people.
Through the session you will begin to understand differences in the way your colleagues interact with and experience the world around them.
This can help with the following:
- Understanding the cognitive diversity of your team.
- Improving team bonding and mutual understanding.
- Developing empathy and compassion.
- Utilising cognitive diversity to solve problems.
- Improve communication.
The workshop is a full day and will be a combination of teaching, activity and discussion for enhanced collaboration and outcomes.
This can be followed up with our ‘Becoming Competent at Reasonable Adjustments for All’ workshop.Becoming Competent at Reasonable Adjustments for All

Effective Adjustments = Analysis + Problem SolvingThe aim will be to provide knowledge on how to manage the following:
- Communication issues (different perspectives)
- Different preferred ways of working
And in order to achieve this look to develop the following:
- Good analytical skills
- Knowledge of cognitive diversity
- Good problem-solving skills
The location-based exercise that formed the main part of the previous workshop will continue but with a greater level of depth in exploring what the answers are telling us.
Focus will be on the following areas:
- Learning preferences
- Different ways of thinking
- Different ways of processing
- Emotions
As a specific example of forms of reasonable adjustments we will explore different forms of software that relate to learning, thinking and processing. The workshop should provide plenty of opportunities for discussion and the aim is to remain interactive throughout.
