Everybody thinks about, perceives, and senses the world differently.

Have a look at your surroundings now. Do you see each object around you as distinct, separate shapes? Or does everything kind of blend in to one big picture?

Do you know exactly where you are in space, or does trying to imagine which direction the next nearest city is give you a headache?

You may somewhere in between. Aspergers traits can be described as human idiosyncrasies. In other words, extreme human attributes, which are beyond normal human variation (in any direction).

This is what makes us all diverse. But in extreme cases of different ways of thinking, or where multiple extreme traits work together, communication with our friends, family and colleagues can be difficult. Even painful. Adults with autism in the workplace can struggle especially, because social skills are affected.

Let’s look at Autism and Neurodiversity.

Autism is a condition of extremes – extremes in all directions. Therefore, when we explain the variation and extremes of different human traits developed by looking at autism, we cover everyone.

It is common for most people to have some extreme traits (or Aspergers traits), but this does not mean they have aspergers or autism.

Neurodiverse people however are people who think and perceive the world in a different way to what is considered to be the norm – or which goes beyond normal human variation.

Employee Profiling Tool

All our Autism and Neurodiversity Training is underpinned by a framework initially developed through research into autism by Dr Elizabeth Guest (BSc, PhD, PGCHE). This has nothing to do with personality testing,  but is a framework which identifies and describes complete human variation for different ways of thinking and reasoning about the world.

Autism or no Autism, we can teach you about this essential management tool and apply it to anybody, including yourself.

Imagine if you could take a team of employees and give them a full profile of their own fundamental traits. Understanding and valuing each other’s fundamental differences and working together more productively would become so much easier. You will also be helping those autistic or neurodiverse people who don’t want to be singled out.

Or, imagine how deeply satisfying it would feel if you could suddenly get through to somebody you have been struggling to communicate with for months- winning their trust, approval and appreciation at the same time?

You could own this tool through receiving training from Aspiedent. In certain situations, such as Autism or Neurodiversity Workplace Assessments in which we help managers and employees resolve any issues of differences, this tool is deployed expertly for you by Dr Elizabeth Guest.

You’ll wonder how you ever managed without it.
